Tingfred

The Old Danish word Tingfred can mean:

• no. (fsv pingsfriber)
• 1) fred på vejen i ttil og fra og på ting; (1396). DoB 36 (ovf. III. 491D17); thingfridh, ther han hafthe brudit (1408). DoB 347; tingfred regnis, fraa mand drager frann sit huus ret weigen til tinget (1558). Rsv" IV. 265, jf SL 2, 29. —
• 2) brud på tingfreden; ilud delictum sit thingfret brøthe ... sit delietum thingfret. GbA V.38; kerde L offuer, at O giorde wor herritsfoged it fuld 2thingfred, skød til hanum oc veldelig åreff hannem fra tinget (1492).
